Neil has considerable expertise in multicultural sales, business development and relationship management on a worldwide basis, including in-country roles in the UK, Europe and Hong Kong and regional responsibilities for Africa, Middle East and Russia and Emerging Markets as well as Asia Pacific.
During his 25-year career at the global messaging provider, SWIFT, Neil gained extensive experience in multinational cooperative environments included working with senior and board level individuals at organizations in domestic financial institutions, global transaction banks, central banks and regulatory bodies, including The World Bank.
Throughout his career, Neil has consistently placed the customer at the centre of his work – whether in attracting new business, developing existing relationships, defining and implementing sales processes and/or motivating, leading and recognizing sales teams. He also has a strong track record in running continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency in sales administration and support processes, business partner strategic models and consultancy sales strategies.
In 2009, Neil became the Head Architect of a Lean Navigator team. Following the financial crisis, SWIFT embarked on a multi-year, company-wide business efficiency drive. The programme used McKinsey and its Lean Management Methodology. Neil oversaw the successful transfer of the programme management and delivery capabilities from McKinsey consultants to an in-house team of 45 Navigators.
From this experience, Neil is strongly motivated by the need to engage all employees in an organization and to drive change horizontally as well as vertically to create the right environment for continual improvement to thrive.
