After several years in the Dutch banking industry, Steven spent a significant part of his career at the global messaging provider, SWIFT, where he played a role in its transformation from a cooperative monopoly to a commercially driven organization.

This has allowed him to build experience in a strong multi-cultural environment (working with colleagues from over 50 nationalities) while interacting with customers throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

In his role as Sales Director for North & Central Europe he rebuilt and managed multiple sales teams, set-up new regional offices and negotiated global contracts with key corporates and financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East. In addition he built up the company’s global Key Client Management program.

As member of the senior management group he took charge of a troubled global training business unit and moved it from being demotivated and loss-making into a successful and profit-making group by rebuilding both the team and the product strategy, as well as implementing a pragmatic new sales & pricing approach.

Since 2012 Steven is active across industries in helping companies with their sales, training and key client plans with his approach of pragmatic implementation. He speaks four languages (English, French, German and Dutch) and is widely recognized for his customer focus, attention to detail and outstanding team leadership.
